Prof. Robert A. Leishear, consulting engineer at Leishear Engineering, LLC, has been recognized by Marquis Who’s Who Top Engineers for dedication, achievements, and leadership in nuclear engineering. With 50 years of experience to his credit, Dr. Leishear has excelled as owner, president, and consulting engineer at Leishear Engineering, LLC since 2016. At the Savannah River National Laboratory, part of Savannah River Nuclear Solutions, he held a number of roles since 2007, including research engineer, design engineer, calibration engineer, quality assurance engineer, radioactive packaging engineer, and process piping engineer. He invented a device that was installed on every personal computer and printer for more than 25 years as a design engineer at Westinghouse Defense and Electronics Systems Center from 1982 to 1991. He was active with Savannah River Remediation, LLC as a plant engineer, pump engineer, systems engineer, test engineer, and shift technical engineer after 1991. Before embarking on his professional path, Dr. Leishear pursued an education at Johns Hopkins University, where he earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering in 1982, and he completed a sheet metal apprenticeship at the same time. He continued his academic efforts at the University of South Carolina, accruing a Master of Science in mechanical engineering in 2001, a PhD in mechanical engineering in 2005, and a Master of Engineering in nuclear engineering in 2023. He holds certifications and qualifications related to his area of expertise from the Association for Materials Protection and Performance and the Technological University of Madrid. Beyond his responsibilities within the field, Dr. Leishear has participated in numerous endeavors outside of his professional circles. He authored two engineering books and published over 180 scholarly works, with two-thirds of these contributions emerging within the last eight years. He served as a peer reviewer for the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ Journal of Pressure Vessel Technology, the Journal of Fluids Engineering, and the Journal of Solid Mechanics. In light of his impressive undertakings, Dr. Leishear has accrued several accolades throughout his career. He was presented with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers’ Fellow Award and the Copper Black Award for Creative Achievement from Mensa International. He invented and published novel theories aimed at elucidating the causative factors behind, and potential prevention strategies for, incidents such as the Fukushima nuclear accident, prospective nuclear power plant explosions, water main ruptures, offshore oil rig explosions, and gas pipeline explosions. In the immediate future, Dr. Leishear intends to continue with his writing, academic, and scientific endeavors, confident that his current efforts will serve as the final piece of the puzzle in his remarkable body of work. To do so, he has contracted with the American Society of Mechanical Engineers to write “Fluid Transients, The Water Hammer Disaster,” and he is writing “Industrial Murder for Profit”. Together, these planned 2024 books are intended to explain and stop numerous industrial disasters and expose the politics of the coverups that keep us exposed to similar disasters in the future.

Prof. Dai-Yeun Jeong is presently the Director of Asia Climate Change Education Center and an emeritus prof. of environmental sociology at Jeju National University in South Korea. He received BA and MA degree in sociology from Korea University (South Korea), and PhD in environmental sociology from University of Queensland (Australia). He was a prof. of environmental sociology at Jeju National University (South Korea) from 1981 to 2012. His past major professional activities include a teaching professor at University of Sheffield in UK, the president of Asia-Pacific Sociological Association, a delegate of South Korean Government to UNFCCC and OECD environmental meeting, and a member of Presidential Commission on Sustainable Development Republic of Korea, etc. He has published 60 environment-related research papers in domestic and international journals and 13 books including Environmental Sociology. Sir Ruggero M. Santilli obtained his Ph. D. in theoretical physics at the University of Torino, Italy in 1965; he then emigrated to the U.S.A. in 1967 where he was on the faculty of the University of Miami, Boston University, MIT, and Harvard University under financial support from NASA, UFOSR and DOE. In 1991 he accepted the position of President and Professor at the Institute for Basic Research in Florida. He is the author of 345 papers published in refereed journals and twenty post Ph. D. monographs in mathematics, physics, chemistry and biology; he is the Editor of a number of scientific journals in mathematics and physics and was awarded twelve U. S. patents. He is internationally known for developing new mathematics (known as Lie-admissible, Lie-isotopic and isodual mathematics) for the construction of hadronic mechanics, chemistry and biology, and for the verification of the 1935 Einstein-Podolsky-Rosen argument that "quantum mechanics is not a complete theory." These discoveries lead to the prediction of new technologies, incompatible with quantum mechanics but fully compatible with hadronic mechanics, which he developed as Chief Scientist at various U. Prof. Murray Moinester received his Ph.D. from the University of Rochester in 1968, and then joined the faculty at Tel Aviv University. He served as guest professor for extended periods at many leading universities and accelerator laboratories, has extensive experience in experimental and computational methods, carried out many research programs in high energy particle and nuclear physics, published some 200 scientific papers in refereed journals, and made some 75 conference or university presentations. Since his official retirement in 2003, he continues researching in the fields of Hadron Physics (pion polarizability, etc.), Archaeology (Multispectral imaging & RHX dating), environmental radioactivity, & soil science (carbon sequestration).

Prof. Francesco D. Auria, born 1954, received a Master degree in Nuclear Engineering in 1978 and a PHD degree in Nuclear Reactor Safety in 1980, both at the University of Pisa. He was awarded of a research grant from University of Pisa in 1978; then he was awarded the Assistant Professor position in 1981 at University of Pisa (area of nuclear thermal-hydraulics), of the Associate Professor position at University ‘La Sapienza’ in Rome in 1991 (area of radiation applications) and the Chair (Full) Professor position at University of Pisa in 2000 (area of nuclear thermal-hydraulics), the last one being the current position. He was engaged as ‘Adjoin Professor’ at University of Genova in the period 1993–2003 (area of world energy status and planning). He is ANS member since 1981. Dr. Argaw Ambelu is a Professor of Environmental Health at Jimma University, working at different academic and administrative positions for more than 16 years. He holds a BSc in Environmental Health from Jimma Institute of Health Sciences, Ethiopia, an M.Sc. in Environmental Sanitation, and a Ph.D. in Applied Biological Sciences from Ghent University, Belgium. Dr. Anna got a master‘s degree in Environmental Engineering at Politecnico di Milano. She worked in Bolivia supporting local civil protection in strengthening institutional capacities for disaster risk reduction, including preparation and issuance of warnings. She is currently a researcher in the Hydrology and Hydraulics Department at CIMA Research Foundation. For the Foundation in 2019-2020 she has been the local coordinator of activities in Bolivia, working on the implementation of a drought monitoring system and of the situation room of civil protection, in collaboration with the local government and international institutions. Anna deals with early warning systems and the strengthening of technical-institutional capacities for monitoring and forecasting of extreme hydrological events.

My main research interests focus on hydrology, hydraulics, hydrogeology, the potential impacts of climate change and the simulation of hydrological extremes (droughts and flash floods) in arid environments, field and laboratory approach, statistical, geostatistical, spectral analyzes, cartography and use of GIS and hydrological, hydraulic and hydrogeological modeling.

Dr. Abdeen Mustafa Omer (BSc, MSc, PhD) is an Associate Researcher at Energy Research Institute (ERI). He obtained both his PhD degree in the Built Environment and Master of Philosophy degree in Renewable Energy Technologies from the University of Nottingham. He is qualified Mechanical Engineer with a proven track record within the water industry and renewable energy technologies. He has been graduated from University of El Menoufia, Egypt, BSc in Mechanical Engineering.
